Hey, Siri! Why Are You Biased against Women? (Student Abstract)

The intersection of pervasive technology and verbal communication has resulted in the creation Automatic Speech Recognition Systems (ASRs), which automate conversion spontaneous speech into texts. ASR enables human-computer interactions through is rapidly integrated our daily lives. However, research studies on current technologies have reported unfulfilled social inclusivity accentuated biases stereotypes towards minorities. In this work, we provide a review examples evidence to demonstrate preexisting sexist behavior systems systematic literature over past five years. For each article, also used, highlight specific instances bias, discuss impact bias female community, suggest possible methods mitigation.
